Have you been diagnosed with cancer and don't know where to turn?

If you live in the Central Savannah River Area counties of Aiken, Edgefield, Barnwell or Allendale, we're here to help.  Please review the information below that is available on-line or through our office, and also see our Cancer Resources page on this site.

Our Resource Book contains a wealth of information on local, state, and national agencies and organizations that may assist patients and their families in a variety of ways.  The last page includes information on Patient Assistance Programs offered by several major pharmaceutical companies to provide assistance for those who can't afford their prescription medications.  Please stop by our office or click the link below to download our Resource Book.

Emotional Support is available through our monthly Cancer Support Group meetings. This group meets the third Wednesday of each month (except December) at 3:00 pm at Aiken's First Baptist Church on Chesterfield Avenue, in the Parlor.  It is a non-denominational but chaplain-facilitated group for both men and women with any type of cancer, and also for their families and other caregivers.  Call Chaplain Cathy Cole 803-641-5389 or SRCF at 649-5433 for more information, and see our Calendar of Events page for these meetings and other cancer-related events.

Financial support is also available to cancer patients that meet designated criteria.  If your income is within 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, we may be able to help pay for your cancer-related medications as well as transportation to cancer treatments and doctor appointments.  Although we don’t place any restrictions on where you obtain treatment, you must be a resident of one of the following four counties in South Carolina:  Aiken, Edgefield, Barnwell or Allendale.
